* Holders of Taiwan passports can only be processed for an ETA if living in and applying from within the country of Taiwan and apply in person at the Australian Embassy in Taiwan.

** Hong Kong holders of UK passports which indicate their nationality to be British National (Overseas) can only be processed for an ETA if living in and applying from within the country of Hong Kong and you must apply in person at the Australian Embassy in HK.

Hong Kong SAR
Only Hong Kong SAR residents are eligible to apply for an ETA Visa via this website. Approx 95% of applications will be successful and the others will be referred to the Australian Embassy.

Hong Kong SAR residents must fly from Hong Kong. They are currently NOT permitted to fly directly from mainland China to Australia.
